    Lions' Don Carey, Tahir Whitehead return to action Sunday

    Lions strong safety Don Carey and linebacker Tahir Whitehead both returned to Sunday's Wild Card game against the Cowboys after being deemed questionable in the third quarter. Both players were diagnosed with dehydration, but both were able to make it back onto the field before the end of the third quarter. The Lions have a 20-14 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

    Lions keep all probables active in Week 5

    All of the Lions listed as probable on Friday's final injury report are active for Week 5's matchup with the Bills, including defensive tackle Nick Fairley (knee), wide receiver Golden Tate (hamstring), safety Don Carey (hamstring), defensive end Devin Taylor (knee) and tackle LaAdrian Waddle (calf). Fairley should be good to go for his regular role, which includes playing about half of the team's defensive snaps. He recorded his first sack of the season in Week 4.

    The Lions will have most of their injured players available Week 3 against the Packers. Ezekiel Ansah, Nick Fairley and George Johnson may have entered the week as questionable, but all three are active. The team will also have Joique Bell and Don Carey. Bell and Carey were listed as probable, so that shouldn't come as a surprise.
