    Cowboys tight end James Hanna had a scope performed on his knee Saturday, DallasCowboys.com reports. It was just a minor clean-up procedure and Hanna could return to practice by the end of the week, but it still seems unlikely that he'll be able to play in Week 3's game against the Falcons. Geoff Swaim would once again by the Cowboys' third tight end Sunday if Hanna is eventually ruled out.

    Cowboys tight end James Hanna (left knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports. Hanna was listed as questionable heading into the Week 2 matchup, but didn't progress enough to the point where the Cowboys felt he would be able to suit up Sunday. With Hanna slated for an inactive designation, Geoff Swaim is expected to make his NFL debut as the Cowboys' third tight end behind Jason Witten and Gavin Escobar.

    Cowboys tight end James Hanna suffered a sprained knee during the team's loss to the Chargers on Thursday and could wind up being sidelined for up to two weeks, per the Dallas Morning News. Hanna, who is the team's reserve tight end, may wind up missing the rest of training camp, which could give rookie Geoff Swaim the chance to make an impression on coaches. In three seasons with the Cowboys, Hanna has 22 catches for 207 yards.

    The Cowboys listed a lengthy injury report that included four defenders listed as questionable for Sunday's playoff game against the Packers.     Several Cowboys contributed in the Week 8 loss to the Redskins. Among them, backup running back Joseph Randle ran three times for 23 yards, averaging 7.7 yards per carry, but lost a fumble.
