    Report: Colts waive/injured FB/LB Mario Harvey

    The Colts have waived fullback/linebacker Mario Harvey from Injured Reserve with an injury settlement, per the Anderson Herald Bulletin. Harvey has participated in 28 career games with no starts. He has been dealing most recently with a hamstring problem.

    Colts promote Andrew Jackson, waive Mario Harvey

    The Colts signed linebacker Andrew Jackson off the team's practice squad Saturday, waiving linebacker Mario Harvey in a corresponding move. Jackson was a sixth-round pick in this year's draft out of Western Kentucky. Harvey has recorded 22 tackles with the Colts over the last two-plus seasons, with none coming in 2014.

    Colts issue lengthy injury report for Week 4

    Inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman (hamstring) is one of three Colts ruled out for Sunday against Tennessee. The others are fellow linebacker Mario Harvey (hamstring) and defensive tackle Arthur Jones (ankle). The team's Friday injury report is extensive, though guard Hugh Thornton (ankle) is the lone player listed as doubtful. Deemed questionable are safety Colt Anderson (groin) and linebacker Andy Studebaker (hamstring). The half-dozen probables are cornerbacks Greg Toler (ribs), Vontae Davis (ankle) and Darius Butler (neck), wideout T.Y. Hilton (ankle), guard Joe Reitz (ankle) and linebacker Erik Walden (knee).

    Colts make a bevy of roster moves Tuesday

    The Colts made a slew of roster moves Tuesday, which included placing running back Dan Herron and Mario Harvey on season-ending injured reserve. The Colts also elevated outside linebacker Daniel Adongo and tackle Xavier Nixon from the practice squad to the active roster, while adding fullback Robert Hughes and defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton to the practice squad.

    Mario Harvey forced into action

    After leading tackler Jerrell Freeman got knocked out by a concussion, Colts linebacker Mario Harvey played a lot of snaps Monday against the Chargers. So many, in fact, that Harvey ended up leading the team with 10 tackles, including nine solo stops and one for loss. Harvey had three total tackles in the previous five games. Forced into a prominent role, Harvey was decent against the run but struggled mightily in coverage.

    Colts release expansive injury list

    Colts inside linebacker Pat Angerer has been listed as doubtful for the season opener with a concussion, the team has announced. Backup inside linebacker Kavell Conner (ankle) is out while defensive end Fili Moala (foot) and wide receiver David Reed (head) are both questionable. Listed as probable on the injury report are running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot), offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo (knee), tight end Coby Fleener (knee), inside linebacker Mario Harvey (knee), safety Joe Lefeged (knee) and offensive lineman Mike McGlynn (knee).

    News: The Steelers released 21 players on Friday, reducing their roster to 58 players. The 21 players released included linebackers Baraka Atkins, Mario Harvey, Chris McCoy and Mortty Ivy, defensive lineman Corbin Bryant, defensive backs Brett Greenwood, Macho Harris, Donovan Warren and Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith, running backs James Johnson and John Clay, offensive linemen Colin Miller, Kyle Jolly, John Malecki, Trevis Turner and Keith Williams, wide receivers Armand Robinson, Wes Lyons and Tyler Grisham, tight end Jamie McCoy and kicker Swayze Waters.
    Analysis: Of the players listed, none had a realistic chance of getting significant playing time. They should remain unowned in all Fantasy formats.
