Chargers' Corey Liuget: Feeling better following offseason surgery

Liuget is feeling "much better" after he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in December, Micahel Gehlken of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports. Liuget had tallied 34 tackles (28 solo) and three sacks before his Week 13 injury against the Broncos. The 26-year-old, who signed a five-year extension prior to last year's training camp, reportedly weighed between 313-315 pounds throughout the 2015 season, but is expecting to cut his weight down to 295 by the season opener. With the Chargers selecting Joey Bosa with the third overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Liuget and Bosa could form an impressive duo on the defensive line capable of wreaking havoc on opposing offenses should both players stay healthy.

Chargers' Corey Liuget: Expected to play Sunday

Liuget (foot) is expected to play Sunday against the Chiefs, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Liuget's presence along the defensive line is certainly a plus for the Chargers, though with only 28 tackles and two sacks this season, he's a minimal fantasy IDP option.

Chargers' Corey Liuget: Questionable for Sunday

Liuget (foot) is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Liuget was limited throughout practice this week, putting his status up in the air for Sunday's divisional contest. Although he's only posted 28 tackles and two sacks so far, Liuget's presence would surely be welcomed along the Chargers' defensive front, but he's likely to be a game-time decision for Sunday.

    Chargers' Corey Liuget: Inactive Monday

Liuget (foot) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Bears. With 28 tackles and two sacks in eight games to date, Liuget is only an option in deeper IDP leagues, though his absence Monday is a hit to the Chargers' defensive line rotation/run-stopping ability.

Chargers' Corey Liuget: Questionable to return in Week 8

Liuget (foot) is questionable to return after being carted off the field Sunday against the Ravens, Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. The Chargers are one of the weaker defenses against the run and will likely struggle further without Liuget in the lineup. He's expected to be replaced at defensive tackler by Ricardo Matthews.
