Browns' Terrelle Pryor: Limited snaps after late-season addition

Pryor recorded his only reception of the season in Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh, a 42-yard fade from Austin Davis. Pryor had competed for a roster spot in camp, but was ultimately let go in favor of more experienced wide receiver options. When those options were severely depleted towards the end of the season, the team brought Pryor back to provide depth. He ended up with eight total targets over the three games in which he was active, but Sunday's catch proved to be the only play of the season in which he produced positive yardage. The converted quarterback will likely be a fringe roster option in 2016, whether it be in Cleveland or elsewhere. He has the size and skills to be a successful receiver in the league, but lacks experience at the position at this point in his career.

Browns' Terrelle Pryor: Not on the active roster Sunday

Pryor (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Chiefs. Pryor was targeted twice in the Week 15 loss to Seattle, but has failed to log a reception in each of the two games he's been active for in 2015. With special teams ace Marlon Moore (ribs) and fellow wideout Taylor Gabriel (non-injury related) both active for the contest, the depth Pryor could have provided looks to have been deemed unnecessary.

Browns' Terrelle Pryor: Shut out in Cleveland debut

Pryor was not targeted in Sunday's victory over the 49ers. Pryor made his regular season debut with the team, and although he didn't see many looks from quarterback Johnny Manziel, the wideout did make it on the field for 16 offensive snaps. With Sunday's target leader, Brian Hartline, out for the season with a broken collarbone, there suddenly may be more targets to go around in Cleveland. However, the pending returns of Taylor Gabriel (concussion) and Andrew Hawkins (concussion) may limit Pryor's opportunities.

Browns' Terrelle Pryor: Makes Cleveland debut Sunday

Pryor is active for the first time this season Sunday against the 49ers. Pryor re-signed with the Browns on Dec. 1 after spending time with the organization earlier in the year, but will see the field Sunday for the first time. Per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the wideout will see approximately a dozen snaps in the contest. His exact production will be difficult to predict, as the converted quarterback has had limited time to get acclimated with Sunday's starter, Johnny Manziel. Nonetheless, Pryor will look to take advantage of the opportunity awarded him due to the absence of both Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel, who are both inactive due to concussions. Due to all the surrounding uncertainty, calling Pryor a risky fantasy play would be putting it lightly.

Browns' Terrelle Pryor: Expected to get playing time at receiver Sunday

Pryor is expected to get some playing time at receiver Sunday against the 49ers, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. "Terrelle looks good. I don't know if he's ready to take on a full role, but there's a chance that there will be some involvement in the plan there," said coach Mike Pettine on Friday. Pryor, who re-signed with the Browns at the beginning of December after trying out for several teams, will see his first regular season action as a receiver Sunday when the Browns take on the 49ers. Coach Pettine's comments indicate that Pryor will be utilized to some extent against San Francisco, but owners should temper their expectations given that he directly stated that he won't get a full complement of snaps. That said, the Browns have four receivers listed as questionable heading into the contest, so Pryor could be more than just a gimmick in the offense Sunday if any of those pass catchers are sidelined.

Browns' Terrelle Pryor: Won't suit up Sunday

Pryor (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Bengals. Pryor signed with the Browns on Tuesday, but that wasn't enough time for him to get fully acquainted in the passing game, despite spending time with the organization earlier in the season. Rookie wideout Darius Jennings, who was signed off the practice squad earlier this week, will instead get the active status. If both Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel continue to miss time due to concussions, a week on the active roster for Pryor could be right around the corner.

Browns' Terrelle Pryor: Will sign with Browns on Tuesday

Pryor will sign with the Browns on Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. While Pryor played quarterback in the past, he is presumably being brought in for wide receiver depth with a couple Browns receivers banged up, and not to help at the quarterback position despite the injury to starter Josh McCown (collarbone).

QB/WR Terrelle Pryor works out for Giants

Failed quarterback and wideout hopeful Terrelle Pryor work out Wednesday for the Giants per Art Stapleton of The Record. While the report does not relay an imminent signing, Pryor, who worked out at quarterback for the Giants last year, auditioned this time around as a wide receiver. While Pryor does possess an intriguing blend of size and speed, that he's still a free agent suggests his untapped potential is unlikely to yield much Fantasy production in the foreseeable future.

Free-agent WR Terrelle Pryor works out for Jets

Free-agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor worked out Monday for the Jets, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. Pryor made the original 53-man roster for the Browns, but was cut days later. With Eric Decker (knee) dealing with a knee injury, it's possible the Jets are looking to see if Pryor can provide depth at WR.
