The Packers reinstated defensive end Datone Jones from the suspended list Tuesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Jones will be eligible to play in Week 2 after sitting out the Packers' season opener while serving a one-game suspension. He will likely be a reserve when Letroy Guion returns from a suspension of his own, but with Guion out another two weeks, Jones could get a chance to start.

Packers defensive end Datone Jones' one-game suspension by the NFL is related to an incident where he was ticketed for marijuana possession, according to the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel. According to a Green Bay police report, Jones was ticketed for possession of marijuana just hours after the Packers returned to Wisconsin following their loss to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game. He was convicted and paid a $880 fine. The NFL suspended Jones for one game last week for violating the league's substance abuse program.
