Barron compiled 16 tackles, including two for loss, in a 24-6 victory against Cleveland on Sunday. Barron nearly doubled his tackle total in one fell swoop, as he now has 39 on the season. Mark Barron 'didn't like' Bucs' defensive scheme was 'passive'

Safety Mark Barron said he "was definitely in shock" when he learned the news he was being traded from the Buccaneers to the Rams Tuesday. However, now that the shock has worn off, Barron is excited for a new start with the Rams, particularly because he feels he is better suited for St. Louis' defensive scheme, per ESPN. "Did I think we could have been doing more, using me more? Yeah, I do," Barron said of his defensive role with the Bucs. "But I wouldn't say it played against my strengths. It was just the way the system was ran. "[Tampa's system] is passive. That's kind of the only thing I didn't like about it. A lot of times I had to sit back and I couldn't really be as aggressive as I wanted to in that system."
