    Chargers list Week 16 inactives vs. 49ers

    The Chargers have listed the following players as inactive for Saturday's Week 16 matchup against the 49ers: running back Ryan Mathews (ankle), wide receiver Keenan Allen (ankle, shoulder), nose tackle Ryan Carrethers (elbow), punter Mike Scifres, cornerback Greg Ducre, linebacker Cordarro Law and defensive end Damion Square. Mathews and Allen were ruled out on the team's final Week 16 injury report, while Carrethers was deemed probable to play. However, the Chargers will have Philip Rivers (chest, back), who was ruled probable, as well as tight end Ladarius Green (ankle, concussion) and defensive tackle Corey Liuget (ankle), both of whom were questionable. The Chargers are a 1-point underdog in San Francisco Saturday.

    The Chargers have rulled the following players as inactive for Sunday night's Week 14 matchup with the Patriots: nose tackles Ryan Carrethers (elbow) and Damion Square, running back Ronnie Brown, wide receiver Dontrelle Inman, guard Jeff Baca, tight end David Johnson and linebacker Cordarro Law. Carrethers had already been ruled out for Sunday's game so his absence won't be unexpected.     Chiefs promote Daniel Sorenson, release Damion Square

    The Chiefs promoted defensive back Daniel Sorenson to the 53-man roster Saturday, waiving defensive end Damion Square in a corresponding move. Sorenson played in the team's regular-season opener but hasn't seen game action since. He was signed to the team's practice squad Sept. 11. Square came over to the team on waivers before the season but has been inactive each week. The Chiefs also signed tackle Curtis Feigt to the practice squad Saturday.
