    Titans' Massaquoi rehabbing shoulder, to miss OTA's

    Outside linebacker Jonathan Massaquoi will not participate in the Titans' first organized team activities, per Massaquoi, who was claimed off waivers from the Falcons earlier this year, is recovering from shoulder surgery. He had a bone spur removed from the area, but the procedure was categorized as a minor cleanup. Massaquoi recorded 22 tackles in 15 games with Atlanta last season.

    Titans claim Jonathan Massaquoi off waivers, cut Bernard Pollard

    The Titans have claimed free agent linebacker Jonathan Massaquoi off waivers and released safety Bernard Pollard, the team announced Tuesday. Massaquoi totaled 22 tackles and two sacks in 15 games for the Falcons in 2014. Pollard was expected to be cut by the team after requesting his release earlier in the week. He suffered an Achilles tear in October, limiting him to just five games in 2014.

    Falcons waive defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi

    Jonathan Massaquoi is the latest to feel the change in direction of the Falcons' new coaching staff. On Friday, the Falcons announced that the defensive end has been waived. Under previous coach Mike Smith, Massaquoi was a fifth-round selection out of Troy in the 2012 NFL draft. Smith was fired this offseason with former Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn hired as his replacement. Massaquoi totaled 22 tackles and two sacks this past season. This announcement follows the Falcons cutting running back Steven Jackson and receiver Harry Douglas.

    Falcons place six on injury report for Week 11 game

    Falcons wide receivers Harry Douglas (foot) and Devin Hester (ankle), both of whom practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday, have been deemed questionable for the Sunday game at Carolina. The only other questionable player is cornerback Josh Wilson (ankle). Tackle Jonathan Scott (hamstring) has been ruled out while fellow offensive lineman Justin Blalock (foot) and defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi (foot) are probable.

    The Falcons DST could not stop the run in the loss at San Francisco, giving up 199 yards on 30 attempts or 6.6 yards per carry. Atlanta struggled especially after losing defensive tackle Corey Peters to a first-half Achilles injury. The Falcons DST forced no turnovers but got sacks from Peters, linebacker Stephen Nicholas and defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi. San Francisco scored on four consecutive drives to start the second half and finished with 379 total yards. The injury-depleted Falcons DST wraps up the season vs. Carolina.

    Falcons DEs to see more PT in absence of Kroy Biermann

    With the news Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann will miss the rest of the season with an Achilles injury, coach Mike Smith said Monday Jonathan Massaquoi and Malliciah Goodman will see an increase in playing time. "Those guys are going to get an opportunity to step in and help us win some football games," Smith said. "I believe that they will. As I say many times, one man's misfortune is another man's opportunity. We've got some guys that we expect are going to step up and make some plays for us."

    Jonathan Massaquoi ready to 'play ball'

    Falcons defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi said the training wheels are off as he heads into his second year in the NFL and heads to training camp competing for a spot in the starting lineup. "This year those baby steps are gone," Massaquoi said during May's OTAs, per "All I have to do is come out here and play ball."
