  • Ryan Jones: Waived by Big Blue

The Giants waived Jones on Tuesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Jones signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent in May after posting 41 catches for 413 yards and four scores for East Carolina in 2022. The rookie battled a knee issue during offseason work and delivered muted production in the preseason, securing three of four targets for 21 yards. If Jones clears waivers, the Giants would presumably like to sign him to a practice-squad deal.

The tight end signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent in May after tallying 41 catches for 413 yards and four touchdowns as a senior at East Carolina last year. Jones is a long shot to make New York's initial 53-man roster.

Jones signed a contract with the Giants as an undrafted free agent Friday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Considering that he's heading to a team that has both Darren Waller and Daniel Bellinger at tight end, Jones will likely only be considered for a practice-squad spot to start 2023.
