Pierre-Paul was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday. Pierre-Paul joined Miami on Nov. 27 when he was signed off the Saints' practice squad. The 34-year-old suited up twice with the squad, seeing just five snaps on defense, eight on special teams and failing to record any stats. He'll likely now work to find a new opportunity or perhaps sign with the Dolphins' practice squad once he clears waivers.... See More ... See Less

Jason Pierre-Paul: Headed to Miami
The Dolphins are expected to sign Pierre-Paul off New Orleans' practice squad Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Pierre-Paul will head to Miami to help replace Jaelan Phillips, who will miss the remainder of the season with a torn Achilles. Pierre-Paul played in his only game for the Saints during Sunday's loss to Atlanta and logged two tackles (one solo).... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Will be available Sunday
Pierre-Paul (shoulder/knee) doesn't carry an injury designation heading into Sunday's wild-card matchup with the Eagles. Despite not practicing Friday, Pierre-Paul has cleared the injury report ahead of Sunday. The veteran missed the final three weeks of the regular season due to a shoulder injury and has logged only a pair of limited practices since Dec. 22.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Out Week 18
Pierre-Paul (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports. Pierre-Paul will miss his third straight game with the shoulder injury to close out the regular season. He hasn't participated at practice since Dec. 22 and will now look toward a return in the playoffs.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Won't play Week 17
Pierre-Paul (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports. Pierre-Paul will miss a second straight game with the shoulder injury that has plagued him for much of the season. The star pass rusher hasn't recorded a sack since notching two against the Bears in Week 7, so maybe some time off will get him right for a playoff run. In his absence, expect rookie Joe Tryon-Shoyinka to once again take on a larger pass-rushing role in Week 17.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Questionable after missed practices
Pierre-Paul (shoulder/hand) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Washington. Pierre-Paul has been unable to practice at all this week, and he also has a hand injury listed again in addition to his nagging shoulder injury. His Week 10 status will likely come down to a game-time decision, but unfortunately for JPP, he'll likely be battling these injuries for weeks to come.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Questionable for Sunday
Pierre-Paul (shoulder/hand) is listed as questionable on the Bucs' injury report ahead Sunday's contest against the Dolphins, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports. Pierre-Paul will take a designation into the weekend, despite head coach Bruce Arians previously saying that the veteran edge rusher will be available Sunday. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka has played well in Pierre-Paul's absence, but Tampa Bay certainly would like to have the latter back as soon as possible.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Unlikely to play Week 4
Coach Bruce Arians said Monday that he doesn't foresee Pierre-Paul (shoulder) playing Sunday in New England, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports. Pierre-Paul opted to take the advice from team doctors and sit out Week 3, and it appears that he will be sidelined for at least one more week. Joe Tryon-Shoyinka played 49 defensive snaps in his absence against the Rams and totaled two tackles and one pass deflection. If Pierre-Paul does sit out, Tryon will likely see a similar workload again in Week 4.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Aggressive in spring practices
Pierre-Paul was "pestering" OLBs coach Larry Foote for more reps during June minicamp, specifically looking to get more snaps in coverage, Carmen Vitali of Buccaneers.com reports. IDP managers won't want to see a star pass rusher dropping back in coverage, but versatility is part of the appeal with Pierre-Paul, who has now found considerable success in both 4-3 and 3-4 defenses. A knee injury limited his practice reps throughout much of last season, but he still managed to play each of Tampa's 20 games in the regular season and postseason, recording 11.5 sacks overall. Pierre-Paul's eager approach to June minicamp suggests he's made a full recovery from minor knee surgery in February.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Green light for Super Bowl
Pierre-Paul (knee) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's Super Bowl matchup against the Chiefs. Pierre-Paul took the field for just one practice this week, but that's been standard procedure for most of the year. The veteran will be ready for Sunday's game as he seeks the second ring of his career. Pierre-Paul racked up 55 tackles, 9.5 sacks, six pass breakups and four forced fumbles over 16 regular-season games, and he tacked on another two sacks in the postseason.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Ready to rock
Pierre-Paul (knee) is not listed with an injury designation for Sunday's NFC divisional-round game against the Saints. Pierre-Paul had his practice reps heavily managed this week, as he missed all three of Tampa Bay's sessions, but it appears as though he was simply receiving routine rest to account for his knee injury. The veteran pass rusher managed 9.5 sacks during the regular season, and his ability to provide pressure will be vital for the Buccaneers' defense versus Drew Brees and the Saints' excellent O-line.... Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Ready to face Washington
Pierre-Paul (knee) does not carry an injury designation for Saturday's wild-card matchup in Washington. Pierre-Paul received his customarily capped practice reps to begin the week before logging a limited session Thursday, but there was never any real doubt about the veteran pass rusher's availability. He'll look to provide pressure against either Alex Smith (calf) or Taylor Heinicke.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Assumes spot on injury report
Pierre-Paul (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports. Pierre-Paul is consistently limited or absent altogether for the first practice to start the week. The veteran linebacker didn't miss a game in the regular season, racking up 55 tackles, 9.5 sacks, six pass breakups and two interceptions. Barring a setback, Pierre-Paul should be available for Saturday's wild-card matchup against Washington.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Limited again
Pierre-Paul (knee) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Pierre-Paul has now logged back-to-back limited sessions to begin the week, correcting an initial report which stated that he sat out entirely Wednesday. In any case, the Buccaneers have regularly managed Pierre-Paul's practice reps this season, so there's not yet any reason to worry about his Week 15 availability.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Limited practice status
Pierre-Paul (knee) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice. The veteran continues to manage the knee issue, so it's not concerning to see him start the week limited. Expect Pierre-Paul to continue to handle his usual starting role at linebacker for Sunday's game against Minnesota, as he's racked up 8.5 sacks through 12 games this season.... See More ... Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Good to go Sunday
Pierre-Paul (knee) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game at Carolina, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. The veteran defensive end has been on the injury report most of the season with the knee issue, but he has yet to miss any time. Pierre-Paul has played at least 78 percent of defensive snaps in every contest and should have a similar workload Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Limited showing Wednesday
Pierre-Paul (knee) was listed as a limited participant for Wednesday's practice. The veteran has been a limited participant at practice to start each of the last three weeks before playing Sunday, so this news isn't quite surprising. Pierre-Paul will look to add to his 6.5 sack total in Sunday's game against the Saints. If the 2010 first-round pick suffers a setback, however, Anthony Nelson would be in line for an increased workload.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Cleared for MNF
Pierre-Paul (knee) will play in Monday's game versus the Giants. Pierre-Paul didn't practice Saturday, but that appears to have been for precautionary reasons, as he'll suit up for an eighth straight game. The Giants' offensive line has been man-handled all year, so Pierre-Paul has a solid opportunity to build on the 5.5 sacks he's recorded so far.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Pops up on injury report
Pierre-Paul (knee) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice. Pierre-Paul was listed on the injury report throughout the week leading up to Week 6 also, so it appears the team could elect to manage the veteran's practice reps throughout the year. The 2010 first-round pick was solid in Sunday's win over Green Bay, supplying six tackles (two solo) and 1.5 sacks. If Pierre-Paul was forced to miss any game time due to injury, Anthony Nelson would be in line for a start at outside linebacker.... See More ... See Less -
Buccaneers' Jason Pierre-Paul: Managing knee injury
Pierre-Paul (knee) was a limited-participant during Wednesday's practice. Pierre-Paul has continued to produce this season, racking up four tackles (three solo), a sack and a forced fumble during Thursday's loss to Chicago. It's unclear when the veteran suffered the injury, but the coaching staff could've elected to give him some time off. If Pierre-Paul were to miss any action with the knee issue, Anthony Nelson and Quinton Bell would be in line for an uptick in snaps at outside linebacker.... See More ... See Less
