    Falcons announce deals for Adrian Clayborn, Phillip Adams

    The Falcons signed a couple of players with hopes of bolstering a defense that ranked dead last in the NFL a season ago. Atlanta announced that it has signed contracts with defensive end Adrian Clayborn and cornerback Phillip Adams. Clayborn's 2014 season ended early due to a biceps injury. Adams, a journeyman entering his sixth NFL season, appeared in 12 games for the Jets in 2014 and totaled 24 tackles and one interception. Clayborn played the entire 2013 season and recorded 64 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks.

    13 of 15 Jets players on injury report ruled probable for Week 9

    The Jets enter Week 9 against the Chiefs relatively healthy. Out of 15 players listed on the injury report, Darrin Walls (calf, knee) was ruled doubtful for Sunday.Geno Smith (shoulder) was labeled questionable. The other 13 players were deemed probable: Oday Aboushi (shoulder), Phillip Adams (groin), Antwan Barnes (knee), Willie Colon (knee), Jeff Cumberland (shoulder, finger), Demario Davis (finger), Eric Decker (hamstring), David Harris (shoulder), Chris Johnson (ankle), Jeremy Kerley (illness), Nick Mangold (shoulder), Trevor Reilly (knee) and Greg Salas (wrist, ankle).

    Jets' Eric Decker, Chris Johnson among probables active Week 8

    All ten Jets players listed as probable on the team's final injury report are active for Sunday's Week 8 matchup with the Bills, including wide receiver Eric Decker (hamstring) and Chris Johnson (ankle). Though the roster is stocked with players dealing with bumps and bruises, the Jets are relatively healthy for the intradivision battle. Also active Sunday are running back Bilal Powell (foot), center Nick Mangold (shoulder), guards Willie Colon (knee) and Oday Aboushi (shoulder), linebackers David Harris (shoulder) and Antwan Barnes (knee) and cornerbacks Phillip Adams (groin) and Darrin Walls (knee).

    The Jets enter Week 8 at home against Buffalo relatively healthy despite having 12 players on the final injury report for Sunday's game. Trevor Reilly (knee) and Greg Salas (wrist, ankle) were the only players deemed questionable for the game.     Jets tweak roster

    The Jets signed free agent cornerback Phillip Adams and claimed receiver Walt Powell off waivers from the Cardinals. New York also waived receiver Quincy Enunwa, who likely will be placed on the practice squad.

    Seahawks add defensive backfield help

    The Seahawks added defensive back Phillip Adams on a one-year deal Thursday, as first reported by Adams spent the last two season with the Raiders, finishing the 2013 season with 30 tackles, one fumble recovery and one pass defense.

    Adams' season ends early

    The Raiders placed defensive back Phillip Adams on season-ending injured reserve Friday after suffering a groin injury in his previous game. Oakland elevated fellow defensive back Cory Nelms from the practice squad to take his spot on the active roster.
