    Dolphins awarded Cobi Hamilton, cut Kai De La Cruz

    The Dolphins were awarded wide receiver Cobi Hamilton on waivers, the team announced on Saturday. Hamilton was waived by Cincinnati earlier in the week. To make room for him on the roster, the Dolphins released rookie receiver Kai De La Cruz.

    The Dolphins claimed wide receiver Cobi Hamilton off waivers Saturday, the team announced. Hamilton was recently released by the Bengals. He has never appeared in an NFL game. To make room for Hamilton, the team waived wide receiver Kai De La Cruz.

    Bengals receivers do little in Wild Card loss vs. Colts

    The Bengals wide receivers and tight ends combined for just seven catches and 75 yards in the team's 26-10 Wild Card loss to the Colts, with wide receiver Mohamed Sanu recording three catches for 31 yards. With top wideout A.J. Green inactive Sunday, Sanu was the only Bengals receiver to make a catch in the game, racking up his three receptions on seven targets. Brandon Tate was targeted five times, Cobi Hamilton saw two targets and Greg Little was targeted once, but none of the three managed to record a catch. Tight end Kevin Brock drew the start in place of Jermaine Gresham and caught just one pass for seven years. Rookie tight end Ryan Hewitt caught three of his five targets for 37 yards. Nobody on the Bengals was able to crack 50 receiving yards, with running back Giovani Bernard leading the way with 46 yards on eight receptions.

    WR Dane Sanzenbacher to IR, Cobi Hamilton promoted

    The Bengals put wideout Dane Sanzenbacher on injured reserve with a concussion and promoted receiver Cobi Hamilton from the practice squad. Sanzenbacher had nine catches for 105 yards in 10 games this season. Cincy is a 3.5-point underdog at Indianapolis on Sunday.

    Bengals make flurry of moves Saturday

    The Bengals made a slew of moves Saturday to pare their roster down to the required 53 for the regular season. Among those moves was the placement of guard Trey Hopkins on the reserve/injured list with a leg issue. Rookie quarterback AJ McCarron was put on the reserve/non-football injury list with a shoulder problem. The Bengals also cut the following offensive players: tackles Dan France and Will Svitek, wide receivers Colin Lockett and Cobi Hamilton, center Trevor Robinson and running backs James Wilder and Nikita Whitlock. Defenders waived by the Bengals include safety Danieal Manning, cornerbacks Onterio McCalebb and Victor Hampton, tackles Devon Still and David King and ends Sam Montgomery and Dontay Moch. Cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris will begin serving a two-game drug suspension handed dowsn by the league.

    Dennis Roland among many cuts by Bengals

    The Bengals have announced that veteran offensive lineman Dennis Roland, who started 24 games for them in 2009 and 2010, has been waived.The move was one of many cuts by the team on Saturday. The following players have also been released: wide receivers Cobi Hamilton, Taveon Rogers and Roy Roundtree, linebackers Bruce Taylor and J.K. Schaffer, cornerbacks Chris Lewis-Harris, Onterio McCalebb and Shaun Prater, offensive tackle Reid Fragel, safety Tony Dye, halfback Dan Herron, center T.J. Johnson, defensive end Dontay Moch, quarterback John Skelton, defensive tackle Terrence Stephens and guard John Sullen.The Bengals also placed running back Bernard Scott (knee) on the Reserve/PUP list and linebacker Emmanuel Lamur (shoulder) on the Reserve/Injured list.
