    The Buccaneers waived or released 12 players: receivers Tommy Streeter, Skye Dawson and Eric Page, quarterback Alex Tanney, fullback Ian Thompson, long snapper Jeremy Cain, guard R.J.     The Buccaneers signed quarterback Alex Tanney and three rookies: tight ends Cameron Brate and Ian Thompson and receiver Quinton Payton. Tanney, 26, was waived by the Browns last week.

    Trio of injuries highlight Browns inactive list

    Sterling Moore among Cowboys cut

    Cornerback Sterling Moore, who has earned some playing time with New England and Dallas, has been cut by the Cowboys. Moore played in five games in both 2011 and 2012. Another significant cut by the team is wide receiver Anthony Armstrong, who has 54 career catches.     Cowboys release Alex Tanney

    The Cowboys released third-string quarterback Alex Tanney Friday, The Dallas Morning News reports.Tanney had an impressive preseason but was sacked seven times in Thursday's preseason finale against the Texans. He completed 40 of 73 passes for 423 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions through five exhibition games. The Cowboys may bring him back into the practice squad if he clears waivers.
