Falcons re-sign Patrick DiMarco, Cliff Matthews
The Falcons re-signed fullback Patrick DiMarco and defensive end Cliff Matthews, the team announced on Tuesday. DiMarco was an exclusive-rights free agent, and Matthews was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in March. DiMarco had 17 catches for 111 yards and a touchdown in two seasons with the Falcons. Matthews has appeared in 32 games, mainly on special teams, in four years with the team. The Falcons also brought in WR Nick Williams, a former Redskin.

Alex Smith among Chiefs' inactives for Week 17
The Chiefs listed quarterback Alex Smith as inactive for Week 17's game against the Chargers. Smith is suffering from a lacerated spleen which is expected to keep him out for six weeks. Other inactives included Donnie Avery, Phillip Gaines, Marcus Cooper, Eric Kush, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Nick Williams. Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe (shoulder) and running back Jamaal Charles (hamstring, ankle) were listed as questionable, but are active.

Chiefs list Week 13 inactives vs. Broncos
The Chiefs have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's matchup with the Broncos: wide receiver Junior Hemingway (concussion), cornerback Jamell Fleming (hamstring), tight end Phillip Supernaw, quarterback Aaron Murray, center Eric Kush, tackle Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and defensive tackle Nick Williams. Hemingway was previously ruled out on the team's final injury report. Fleming had been listed as probable to play in Week 13. The team will have both defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson (calf) and cornerback Chris Owens (knee, abdomen) after both players were listed as questionable. While Fleming is inactive after being listed as probable, the following probables are active Sunday night: wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin), punter Dustin Colquitt (knee), tight end Anthony Fasano (knee), linebacker Tamba Hali (knee), cornerback Sean Smith (groin) and tackle Donald Stephenson (shoulder).

Chiefs sign DL Nick Williams to replace Eric Berry
The Chiefs signed defensive lineman Nick Williams off the Steelers' practice squad Monday, reports ESPN. The Chiefs had an extra spot on their 53-man roster after safety Eric Berry was placed on the non-football injury list with lymphoma. Williams has yet to play in an NFL regular season game.

The Steelers signed receivers C.J. Redskins complete cut-down Saturday
The Redskins have sliced their roster down to the league-mandated 53 with several cuts on Saturday. Included among the waived offensive players are running backs Evan Royster, Lache Seastrunk and Chris Thompson. Also gone from that side of the ball are wide receiver Nick Williams and lineman Maurice Hurt . Defenders cut loose are cornerback Chase Minnifield, linebacker Everette Brown and safety Phillip Thomas. Placekicker Zach Hocker has also been waived. The Redskins have also placed defensive tackle Chris Neild and linebacker Darryl Sharpton on the reserve/injured list and defensive end Stephen Bowen and wide receiver Leonard Hankerson on the PUP list.

The Steelers announced their final round of cuts to trim the roster to 53 players Saturday, as they parted ways with 22 players. The Steelers released defensive backs Isaiah Green, Dayonne Nunley, Shaquille Richardson and Ross Ventrone, linebackers Chris Carter, Howard Jones and Dan Molls, and defensive linemen Ethan Hemer, Josh Mauro, Roy Philon and Nick Williams on the defensive side of the ball. On offense, the team cut tight ends Rob Blanchflower, Bryce Davis and David Paulson, running backs Josh Harris and Stephen Houston, wide receivers Derek Moye and Lanear Sampson, offensive linemen Graham Pocic, Will Simmons and Guy Whimper, and quarter Brendon Kay.
