    Bucs sign K Brandon Bogotay, waive C Ben Gottschalk

    The Buccaneers were busy during the third day of organized team activities. The team announced it has signed kicker Brandon Bogotay and waived center Ben Gottschalk. Bogotay was a tryout player at rookie minicamp and previously a member of the Browns' practice squad. Gottschalk was with the Chiefs' practice squad last season.

    Browns cut 13 to finalize roster

    The Cleveland Browns finalized their 53-man roster Saturday by terminating the contract of kicker Shayne Graham. They also placed wide receiver Josh Gordon on the Reserve/Suspended List by the NFL. In addition, the Browns waived the following 13 players from the roster: OL Aaron Adams; DB Akeem Auguste; K Brandon Bogotay; LB Justin Cole; RB Jamaine Cook; DL Hall Davis; WR Tori Gurley; LB James-Michael Johnson; WR David Nelson; WR Naaman Roosevelt; DL Brian Sanford; DB Jamoris Slaughter; and LB Justin Staples.

    Browns battered with injuries heading into Saturday game at Indianapolis

    The third preseason game is considered a dress rehearsal for the regular season, but it won't be for several Browns starters, reports the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram. Among those ruled out for the game Saturday night in Indianapolis are outside linebacker Jabaal Sheard (knee), wide receiver Davone Bess (knee), placekicker Brandon Bogotay (groin), cornerback Chris Owens (foot) and defensive end Desmond Bryant (back). Rookie outside linebacker and first-round pick Barkevious Mingo is also out with what has been diagnosed as a bruised lung. It is feared he could miss months.

    Browns to carry two kickers?

    The Browns might wind up carrying two kickers this season: veteran Shayne Graham for field goals and rookie Brandon Bogotay for kickoffs. Bogotay was a kickoff specialist in college, attempting only three field goals. Graham has been kicking field goals for NFL teams since 2001. Coach Rob Chudzinski alluded to a kicking competition between the two, something that might last into the preseason, according to ESPN.
