49ers' Anquan Boldin: Five receptions for 71 yards and TD

Boldin caught five of eight targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win against the Rams. Boldin showed decent chemistry with QB Blaine Gabbert, as the pair hooked up at least five times in all but one of the six games in which they both played. Even Boldin's 33-yard touchdown came on a play in which he really wasn't open, but Gabbert put it on his back shoulder. Still, the veteran wideout doesn't seem to have a whole lot left in the tank at 35-years-old, averaging 11.4 YPC, which was one of the worst marks of his career. He also finished with the second fewest receiving yards (789) of his career. With that said, it's not like the 49ers have an elite passing attack and speed has never been part of his game anyway, so his mediocre 2015 season doesn't necessarily mean it's the end of the line just yet. He'll be a free agent in the offseason, so it will be interesting to see what kind of market there is for the tough possession receiver.

49ers' Anquan Boldin: Hauls in five passes against Detroit

Boldin snagged all five passes that came his way in Sunday's loss to Detroit, totaling 27 yards. In Boldin's six games playing with Blaine Gabbert, he has caught at least five passes in five of them, as compared to three such games in his first seven games of the season. The veteran receiver has yet to top 100 yards with Gabbert under center, however, and has scored just once. With Gabbert obviously comfortable looking Boldin's way and limited other options available in the 49ers' offense, Boldin is a solid start in PPR leagues, but may disappoint in standard formats.

49ers' Anquan Boldin: Catches late touchdown

Boldin (hamstring) caught eight of 10 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-14 loss ato the Bengals. He also lost a fumble in the first half that directly set up a touchdown. Boldin's touchdown came with just 2:23 remaining in the game, while the 49ers were in comeback mode, but that's unimportant to fantasy owners. The veteran WR has been sort of an enigma lately, producing at a high level in Weeks 11-12 against top defenses (Seattle and Arizona) and then struggling the last two games against lesser opponents (Chicago and Cleveland). That trend continued Sunday as he finished with good numbers against a solid Bengals' pass defense. In general, he's shown a good rapport with QB Blaine Gabbert, but Boldin's upside is capped by the conservative nature of the 49ers' offense. Next week, Boldin will face the Lions in Detroit.

    49ers' Anquan Boldin: Active Sunday

Boldin (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday versus the Bengals, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports. Boldin and Blaine Gabbert established a great rapport in their first two games together, as the veteran wideout tallied back-to-back 93-yard outings while gathering in 13 of 18 possible passes. However, Boldin's production has experienced a steep decline in the last two -- seven catches for 59 yards on 16 targets -- which may not improve against a Cincinnati defense that's contained wide receivers to 9.3 YPC and no touchdowns over the last three contests.

49ers' Anquan Boldin: Quiet in loss to Browns

Boldin caught two of three targets for just 22 yards in Sunday's loss to the Browns. A disappointing performance from the veteran given the porous nature of the Cleveland secondary, as he was targeted just three times after seeing 31 looks in the prior three games combined. Boldin should be one of the more heavily-targeted 49ers on a weekly basis, but clunkers such as this are always possible given the inconsistent nature of the offense. Boldin possesses little fantasy upside heading into next week's matchup with the Bengals.

    49ers' Anquan Boldin: Active Sunday

Boldin (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday at Cleveland. In four games with Blaine Gabbert under center, Boldin has been a part of the last three following a mid-season respite to tend to a hamstring injury, logging 88.2 percent of the offensive snaps. Among Gabbert's 102 passes during that run, Boldin has churned through 31 targets en route to 18 receptions for 223 yards. Boldin's usage should reap dividends against a Browns defense that has allowed 15.2 YPC and 16 total touchdowns to wide receivers this season.

49ers' Anquan Boldin: Quiet performance in win over Bears

Boldin caught just five of 13 targets for 37 yards in Sunday's win over the Bears. The veteran failed to continue a string of recent production despite being peppered with targets by Blaine Gabbert once again, but he still tied for the team lead in receptions. Boldin has seen plenty of attention from Gabbert through the latter's four starts, but lean weeks such as this will occur, given the fickle nature of the 49ers offense. Despite the modest production Sunday, Boldin should have the chance to rebound next week against the Browns.

    49ers' Anquan Boldin: Active Sunday

Boldin (hamstring) is active for Sunday's contest at Chicago. Boldin had no trouble fitting in every practice rep this week in anticipation of a matchup with the Bears, who have allowed 12 YPC and two touchdowns to wideouts over the past two games.

49ers' Anquan Boldin: Eight grabs for 93 yards

Boldin (hamstring) caught eight of 11 targets for 93 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Arizona. In another tough matchup, Boldin was once again productive, showing a good rapport with QB Blaine Gabbert. Boldin missed two games before San Francisco's Week 10 bye, but he's actually been productive in his last five contests, catching 29 of 46 targets for 434 yards and a touchdown. He'll attempt to stay on a roll next week against the Bears.

    49ers' Anquan Boldin: Active Sunday

Boldin (hamstring) is active for Sunday's contest against the Cardinals. Taking the field last Sunday for the first time since Week 7, Boldin gutted out 43 of the 49ers' 53 offensive snaps in a five-catch, 93-yard outing. A matchup with the Cardinals would typically mean a battle with Patrick Peterson, but the cornerback is tending to an ankle injury, which the 35-year-old Boldin will attempt to exploit.
