49ers WR Anquan Boldin nabs two passes for 16 yards in loss

49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin had just two catches on four targets for 16 yards in Sunday's blowout loss at Arizona. While it was an unproductive game for Boldin, keep in mind that Colin Kaepernick was awful, tossing four interceptions, including two that were returned for a touchdown. Boldin still remains one of Kaepernick's favorite targets, and should get back on track at home against the Packers in Week 4.

49ers WR Anquan Boldin leads team with 10 targets in Week 2 loss

49ers wide reciever Anquan Boldin converted a team-leading 10 targets into six catches for 60 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Steelers. Boldin is still going strong at age 34, and looks poised to once again deliver at least a top-30 season at wide receiver. The veteran doesn't make a lot of big plays, but his excellent route-running and physicality have earned him the full trust of quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Boldin should continue to see plenty of targets, especially in games where the 49ers are forced to pass to catch up.

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is in the midst of an offseason evolution of his game, but he has one supporter in wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who said in a radio interview that the signal-caller should not reinvent the wheel, per NFL.com. "To be honest with you I think he just has to block out everything else around him, stop listening to what people want, what people have to say about you, stop listening to what people want to see you do and just be yourself," Boldin said. Kaepernick, who has been working with former QB Kurt Warner, completed 60.5 percent of his passes in 2014, throwing for 3,369 yards, 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while adding 639 yards and one touchdown on the ground.

Cardinals' Anquan Boldin makes the most of his limited chances

San Francisco wideout Anquan Boldin didn't catch many balls Week 17, but still made a difference. Boldin hauled in just two passes, but picked up a team-high 81 yards. Most of that came on a 76 yard scoring strike in the first quarter. Boldin managed to break free in the middle of the field as Colin Kaepernick scrambled to buy himself some time. Boldin caught the ball about 10 yards past the line of scrimmage, but managed to outrun the defense to the end zone for the score. He would catch a 5 yard pass to begin the second quarter, but that was it. With the performance, Boldin went over 1,000 receiving yards for the sixth time in his career. He finished with 83 receptions for 1,062 yards and five touchdowns.

San Francisco wideout Anquan Boldin hauled in four passes Week 14 against the Raiders. Boldin didn't have a strong game, but still finished second on the team with 54 receiving yards.
