    Left tackle Eugene Monroe (concussion) and defensive end Chris Canty (calf) are two starters that have been ruled out by the Ravens for the Sunday game against Cincinnati. The former sustained his head injury in the opener and hasn't played since. The latter played briefly in Week 2 before going down.

    Free agent defensive end Chris Canty re-signed with the Ravens on a one-year deal with a team option for another year, reports the New York Daily News. Canty, 32, had 33 tackles, a forced fumble and half a sack last season. This will be his third year in Baltimore.

    Defensive end Chris Canty is set to visit the Seahawks, according to the Baltimore Sun. The visit is scheduled for Thursday. Canty, 32, is entering his 11th season in the NFL. Over his career he has played for the Cowboys, Giants and Ravens. He has recorded 335 total tackles, 21.5 sacks and five forced fumbles.

    Report: Free agent DE Chris Canty visiting with Jets this weekend

    Free agent defensive end Chris Canty is scheduled to visit with the Jets on Friday and Saturday, a league source told The Baltimore Sun. Canty was entering the final year of a three-year, $8 million contract before being released by the Ravens last week. Canty, who previously played in New York for the Giants from 2009-12, is familiar with Jets coach Todd Bowles and defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers, as both coaches were on the Cowboys' coaching staff when Canty played in Dallas from 2005-08.

    Ravens part ways with veteran DE Chris Canty to free cap space

    The Ravens have terminated the contract of defensive end Chris Canty on Friday, per the team's official website. Baltimore will create $2.66 million in cap space by cutting the 10-year veteran. "We certainly would not close the door to Chris coming back to us," general manager and executive vice president Ozzie Newsome said in a statement Friday. Canty, 32, played 26 games (24 starts) in two seasons with the Ravens. The veteran registered 63 tackles (33 solo), 2 1/2 sacks, three forced fumbles and six deflected passes while playing in Baltimore.

    Ravens place Arthur Brown on IR, list two others out for Saturday

    The Ravens have placed linebacker Arthur Brown on injured reserve with a thigh injury to make way for defensive lineman Haloti Ngata to be placed on the active roster. Brown was only able to play in four games this season and did not record a tackle. Other than Brown, the Ravens have listed tackle Eugne Monroe (ankle) and defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (foot and ankle) as out for Saturday's wild card game against the Steelers. Monroe has not played since Week 16 against the Texans when he injured his ankle. Defensive end Chris Canty is considered probable. The Ravens are currently 3-point underdogs against Pittsburgh Saturday.

    Suggs to play, Canty to sit Sunday against Cleveland

    The Ravens have offered both good and bad news in regard to two defenders that had been deemed questionable for the Sunday game against visiting Cleveland. The good news is that linebacker Terrell Suggs (back/thigh) has been cleared despite missing an entire week of practice. The bad news is that lineman Chris Canty (ankle/thigh) has been ruled out.
