Broncos' Vernon Davis: Not targeted against San Diego

Davis did not see a pass come his way during Sunday's win over the Chargers. Make it back-to-back crucial games to end the season during which Davis was not targeted. Davis fell out of favor after making some critical drops in Weeks 14 and 15. Davis probably has a better chance to rebound with Brock Osweiler at quarterback than Peyton Manning, as Manning and Davis had less than two weeks of practice together before Manning went down with an injury, limiting his time to build chemistry with the veteran tight end.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Not targeted against Cincinnati

Davis did not see a pass come his way in Monday's win over the Bengals. Davis saw the field for just five offensive plays during Monday's game, according to Pro Football Focus, 21 fewer than his next lowest total during Brock Osweiler's tenure at quarterback. The Broncos struggled to maintain possession early on and then switched to a hurry-up attack that, as head coach Gary Kubiak explained, favored Owen Daniels and Virgil Green - tight ends more familiar with Denver's scheme. Having two tight ends who are better versed in the offense is another obstacle Davis will have to face when it comes to seeing targets down the stretch as two critical drops over the past two weeks has no doubt already diminished some of Osweiler's confidence in him.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Grabs seven passes for season-high 74 yards

Davis (concussion) caught seven of nine targets for a season-high 74 yards in Sunday's 15-12 loss to the Raiders. Davis was forced out of last Sunday's win over the Chargers, but cleared protocol this week, and came up with one of his best games of the year. He did have a disastrous drop late in the game on fourth down that would have gone for a monster gain, putting the Broncos in field goal range for the game-tying field goal. Next week, Davis and the Broncos will travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Listed as active for Week 14

Davis (concussion) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Raiders. As is fellow TE Owen Daniels, with Davis looking like a hit-or-miss fantasy play in Week 14, thanks to the time-share arrangement in play here.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Questionable for Sunday

Davis (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Davis was limited in practice both Thursday and Friday, as he continues to overcome a concussion. Given that careful situation, Davis' status is up in the air for Sunday, requiring attention to his progress prior to the Broncos' 4:05 ET kickoff.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Returns to the field Thursday

Davis (concussion) was present for practice Thursday. Davis, who was not at practice Wednesday, has been in the NFL's post-concussion protocol, but his presence on the field Thursday, suggests, at a minimum, that the tight end is trending in the right direction as Sunday's game against the Raiders approaches.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Held out of practice Wednesday

Davis (concussion) did not practice Wednesday. Davis remains in the NFL's post-concussion protocol, though coach Gary Kubiak noted encouragingly that the tight end was "doing fine" as of Wednesday.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Exits game with concussion

Davis was forced out of Sunday's game against the Chargers due to a concussion. Prior to his exit from Sunday's game, Davis had caught two passes for 25 yards, with his departure likely to result in added looks for fellow TE Owen Daniels.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Catches two passes against New England

Davis caught two passes off of two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's win over the Patriots. Davis snagged six passes for 68 yards in Brock Osweiler's first of the season, but saw his role in Denver's offense dip with the return of Emmanuel Sanders. Osweiler's presence under center has allowed head coach Gary Kubiak to utilize more of the multi-tight end sets that he has made a career on. Owen Daniels, who has played his entire career with Kubiak, is the most likely to benefit, however. Through two games with Osweiler, Daniels has caught nine passes on 11 targets for 117 yards as compared to eight catches on eight targets for 78 yards for Davis.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Season-high 68 yards in win

Davis caught all six of his targets for a season-high 68 yards Sunday against the Bears. The Broncos' coaching staff kept talking about getting Davis more involved in the passing game and it finally came to fruition Sunday with Brock Osweiler under center in place of the injured Peyton Manning (foot/ribs). However, he wasn't the only tight end to get in on the action, as Owen Daniels caught four of five targets for a team-high 69 yards, as both got more looks thanks to Emmanuel Sanders' (toe/finger) absence. It's still too early to tell if Sanders will be available in Week 12, or if Manning will return too for that matter, but the increase in usage for Davis is certainly encouraging from a fantasy perspective.
