Broncos' Vernon Davis: Season-high 68 yards in win

Davis caught all six of his targets for a season-high 68 yards Sunday against the Bears. The Broncos' coaching staff kept talking about getting Davis more involved in the passing game and it finally came to fruition Sunday with Brock Osweiler under center in place of the injured Peyton Manning (foot/ribs). However, he wasn't the only tight end to get in on the action, as Owen Daniels caught four of five targets for a team-high 69 yards, as both got more looks thanks to Emmanuel Sanders' (toe/finger) absence. It's still too early to tell if Sanders will be available in Week 12, or if Manning will return too for that matter, but the increase in usage for Davis is certainly encouraging from a fantasy perspective.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Two catches in loss to Chiefs

Davis had two catches on four targets for 19 yards Sunday against the Chiefs. Davis went catchless in his Broncos debut in Week 9, and while he was more active Sunday, he's still not much of a fantasy producer. Quarterback Peyton Manning had the worst game of his career, completing five of 20 passes for 35 yards and four interceptions before getting pulled, and it's possible that backup Brock Osweiler could get the start in Week 11 against the Bears if Manning's ribs and foot injury are too painful to continue playing through. If that's the case, Davis' familiarity may take some more time before he has a bigger fantasy impact.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: No catches in debut

Davis failed to catch his only target during his Broncos debut Sunday against the Colts. The Broncos haven't gotten a ton of production from their tight ends this season, and while Davis continued that trend Sunday, Owen Daniels exploded for six catches on nine targets for 102 yards and a touchdown after failing to reach even 45 yards in a game this year. Davis will continue to work his way into the offense, but his upside is likely limited in the short term as he gets accustomed to a new offense.

Broncos' Vernon Davis: Set to make debut for Denver

Davis is slated to be active for Sunday's game against the Colts, the Denver Post reports. The recently-acquired tight end is still learning the Broncos' playbook, so how much of a factor he'll be in his debut with the team remains to be seen, but down the road, Davis should emerge as a valuable target for QB Peyton Manning.

49ers trade TE Vernon Davis to Broncos

The 49ers have traded tight end Vernon Davis to the Broncos, reports. Per the report, in return for Davis and a 2016 seventh-round draft pick, the Broncos will send the 49ers sixth-round draft picks in both 2016 and 2017. Davis, who has recorded 18 catches for 194 yards in six games for the 49ers this season, could see his fantasy value boosted by the deal, though the Broncos also roster fellow tight ends Owen Daniels and Virgil Green, so an immediate impact in his new uniform is hardly a lock. Still, given Davis' experience and athleticism, he could provide QB Peyton Manning with another reliable target in the 7-0 Broncos' passing attack.

49ers' Vernon Davis: Catches six passes in St. Louis

Davis caught six passes off of eight targets for 24 yards in Sunday's loss to St. Louis. If it feels like ages since Davis has found the end zone, it's because it has been. Davis has now been held scoreless in his last 19 games, dating back to Week 1 of last season. He has failed to top 100 yards receiving since Week 5 of 2013. Though he ranks second on the team in catches, Davis' golden days in San Francisco appear to be over. Now the next few days will determine whether his time in red and gold are over altogether. A change in scenery could be the best thing for Davis' fantasy value as he is currently stuck in the 49ers' awful passing game.

    49ers' Vernon Davis: Active Thursday

Davis (knee) is listed as active Thursday versus the Seahawks. Davis earned just 34 of 59 offensive snaps in Week 6, versus 46 for fellow tight end Garrett Celek, and the veteran failed to corral his sole target. However, if he exchanges workloads with Celek, Davis could produce against a Seattle defense that has given up 13.3 YPC and five touchdowns to tight ends in 2015.

Veteran TE Vernon Davis listed as probable by 49ers

Tight end Vernon Davis (knee) is listed as probable by the 49ers for the Thursday night game against the Seahawks. Davis returned from a two-game absence Sunday versus the Ravens, but despite playing 34 of 59 offensive snaps, he put up bagels in the box score on just one target. Davis could again be under cap in reps, as he's gathered in just eight of 16 targets across four games this season.

49ers TE Vernon Davis logs full practice on Tuesday

49ers tight end Vernon Davis (knee) was a full participant at Tuesday's practice, CSN Bay Area reports. Davis returned and played most of the snaps in Sunday's win over the Ravens, but he was unable to haul in his only target. Even with Seattle's recent struggles against tight ends, Davis cannot be counted on for much of anything in Thursday's game against the Seahawks.

49ers' Vernon Davis: Held catchless in return

Davis (knee) returned to field but did not reel in his only target in Sunday's win over Baltimore. Davis was held out of the 49ers' last two games with a knee injury. His return provided no fruits for his fantasy owners. Despite name value, Davis doesn't bring anything to the table from a fantasy perspective.
