    Chargers DST can't get off the field

    Despite losing several players to injury, the Chargers DST did not get blown away by the Broncos' top-ranked offense in the 24-17 playoff loss at Denver. But San Diego could not get its defense off the field. Denver converted 9 of 13 third downs and controlled the ball for more than 35 minutes. The Chargers DST forced two turnovers, cornerback Richard Marshall recovering tight end Julius Thomas' fumble and linebacker Donald Butler intercepting a deflected pass in the end zone. The unit produced no sacks.
