    Bills defense shines in Week 8 win vs. Jets

    The Bills defense racked up six turnovers and four sacks in the team's 43-23 win over the Jets in Week 8. The Jets fumbled the ball four times in the loss, losing two, while throwing four interceptions in a poor all-around effort from the offense. Leading the Bills' sack charge was defensive tackle Kyle Williams, who delivered 1.5 sacks despite dealing with a minor back injury during the game. Defensive end Mario Williams also had a half a sack as well as a forced fumble, while defensive linemen Corbin Bryant contributed a sack and a forced fumble and defensive end Jarius Wynn added a sack of his own. The Bills were able to intercept four passes, with three coming against starter Geno Smith in the first quarter and one coming from the arm of backup Michael Vick, who took over and played most of the game. Linebacker Preston Brown, cornerback Stephon Gilmore and safeties Aaron Williams and Da'Norris Searcy each picked off a pass in the winning effort. The Bills head into a Week 9 bye with a 5-3 record before facing the Chiefs in Week 10.

    Bills announce Week 8 inactives vs. Jets

    The Bills have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's Week 8 matchup with the Jets: running back Fred Jackson (groin), wide receivers Marquise Goodwin (hamstring) and Marcus Easley (knee), linebacker Ty Powell (ankle), cornerback Ross Cockrell, running back Phillip Tanner and offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio. Jackson and Powell were both already ruled out for the game, while Goodwin was doubtful to play. Easley is inactive after being listed as questionable, but the team's other questionable player, safety Aaron Williams (neck), is active for the game.
