    Bengals sign defensive tackle Pat Sims

    The Bengals signed veteran defensive tackle Pat Sims, the team announced on Thursday. Sims returns to the Bengals after spending the past two years in Oakland. Sims was a third-round pick in the 2008 draft by Cincinnati and spent his first years with the Bengals. Sims recorded 25 tackles and one pass deflections in 2014. He started two of the 16 games he appeared in. He started all 16 games for the Raiders in 2013, posting 54 tackles and two sacks.

    Raiders not expected to re-sign DT Pat Sims

    Raiders defensive tackle Pat Sims saw his playing time decrease in 2014, and the team is unlikely to re-sign him, reports Sims played 37 percent of the defensive snaps and finished with 25 tackles and no sacks.     Raiders wideout Andre Holmes (shoulder) is active for the game at Kansas City after being listed as probable. Other injured Raiders suiting up include cornerback Tarell Brown (foot, ankle), cornerback Chimdi Chekwa (shoulder), defensive tackle Pat Sims (shoulder) and cornerback Neiko Thorpe (hand). Holmes has 37 catches for 540 yards and four touchdowns.

    Raiders' Denarius Moore to miss third straight game against Chiefs

    Raiders wide receiver Denarius Moore will miss his third consecutive game with ankle and knee injuries. Moore, who has 12 catches for 115 yards on the year, has played in 10 games for Oakland. Also out for the Raiders is Larry Asante, Brian Leonhardt and Menelik Watson. Sio Moore, Tarell Brown, and Pat Sims are all questionable while Chimdi Chekwa, Andre Holmes and Neiko Thorpe are probable.

    Pat Sims makes 15 tackles

    Raiders defensive tackle Pat Sims had not made more than five tackles in a game all season entering Week 16. In the loss at San Diego, he was dominant, making 15 tackles and picking up his second sack this year. Sims made 10 solo stops and two tackles for loss while getting a pair of quarterback hits. Up to 50 tackles this season, he'll face Denver in Week 17.

    Raiders DST collects three turnovers

    The Raiders DST benefitted from San Diego's carelessness Week 16. Oakland pounced on a botched snap and a muffed punt for two of its three turnovers. Cornerback Mike Jenkins picked off an underthrown pass from Philip Rivers, his fourth interception against the Raiders this season. Defensive tackle Pat Sims had a monster game, making 15 tackles. He had 10 solo stops, two tackles for loss and the team's lone sack. Still, Oakland yielded 344 total yards and 26 points in the loss. The Raiders DST faces a tougher matchup Week 17 vs. Denver.
