Bears' Robbie Gould: Sets club record with 33 field goals made

Gould finished the 2015 season with a 33-for-39 mark on field-goal attempts and a 28-for-29 mark on extra-point tries. The 33 made field goals were a club record, breaking Gould's own mark of 32 set in the 2006 season. Despite that achievement, the season still seemed like a disappointment for Gould, who missed critical field-goal attempts in eventual losses to the 49ers and Redskins in Weeks 13 and 14 that effectively quashed the Bears' slim playoff hopes. However, given his strong overall body of work since joining the Bears, Gould should retain plenty of job security heading into 2016.

Bears' Robbie Gould: Misses another crucial kick Sunday

Gould nailed all three of his extra-point attempts, but failed to connect on a potential game-tying 50-yard field-goal attempt with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of an eventual 24-21 loss to the Redskins on Sunday. For the second consecutive week, Gould failed to convert a clutch kick, as he pushed the 50-yard try wide right. Though it's been a rough two weeks for Gould, who missed a game-winning 36-yarder in an overtime loss to the 49ers on Dec. 6, but the veteran's excellent track record over the course of his lengthy career will continue to give him plenty of job security.

Bears' Robbie Gould: Shanks 36-yard game-winner in loss

Gould knocked down both extra-point tries, but only two of four field-goal attempts in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the 49ers. Gould's second and final miss from the field was particularly gut-wrenching, as his 36-yard attempt went wide left as time expired in regulation to send the game to overtime. Though he did nail kicks from 40 and 51 yards in the first quarter and has been solid for most of the season, he's been stuck in a bit of a rut since Nov. 1 versus the Vikings, hitting on only 11 of 16 tries. As the weather gets progressively worse in the Midwest in December, Gould may struggle to finish the campaign on a high note.

Bears' Robbie Gould: Removed from injury report

Bears' Robbie Gould: Practices in full Thursday

Gould (illness) practiced in full Thursday. Gould took a seat Wednesday due to an illness, but his uninhibited return Thursday blazes a trail for active status Sunday at St. Louis. The Rams have forced at least two field goal attempts of opponents in six of eight games, which bodes well for Gould's Week 10 potential.

Bears' Robbie Gould: Dealing with illness

Gould was absent from Wednesday's practice due to an illness. After hitting all 15 field goal attempts through the Bears' first six games, Gould has gone 2-for-5 in the past two, including misses on both kicks during Monday's win at San Diego. Just two day's later, he's dealing with an illness, which could hinder his activity level as the week continues.

Bears' Robbie Gould: Goes 2-for-3 on field goals Sunday

Gould knocked down two of his three field-goal attempts and both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Vikings. Gould initiated the Bears' scoring with a booming 55-yard field goal, but was wide left from 51 yards late in the third quarter. It was the first missed field goal of the season for Gould, who has been exceptional with a 17-for-18 performance through eight weeks. He's also been remarkably consistent for fantasy owners, scoring at least eight points in all but two of the Bears' seven games.

Bears' Robbie Gould: Nails four field goals Sunday

Gould connected on all four of his field-goal and both of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's loss to the Lions. None of Gould's kicks came from more than 40 yards, but his weekly reliability continues to buoy a pedestrian Bears offense that has struggled to finish off drives. He's a perfect 15-for-15 from the field this season, with his lone missed kick coming on a blocked extra-point attempt.

Bears' Robbie Gould: Perfect from field again Sunday

Gould nailed both of his two field-goal attempts in Sunday's 18-17 win over the Chiefs. The kicks came from 30 and 44 yards, amounting to relative chip shots for the ultra-accurate Gould. Unfortunately for Gould's fantasy owners, they amounted to the only opportunities he received on the day, as the Bears went for two points on both of the fourth-quarter touchdowns they recorded.

Bears kicker Robbie Gould converts three FGs in Week 4 win

Kicker Robbie Gould nailed all three of his field-goal attempts, but missed 1 of 2 extra-point tries in the Bears' 22-20 win over the Raiders on Sunday. Gould came through in the clutch for the Bears, nailing a 49-yard field goal with two seconds remaining in the game to give his team their first win of the season. Prior to those heroics, Gould missed his first kick of the season when his first-quarter extra-point attempt was blocked. He's 5 for 6 on PATs and 9 for 9 from the field, including three makes from 50-plus yards.
