    Report: Giants sign George Selvie to one-year, $1.4 million deal

    George Selvie will be reunited with former University of South Florida teammate Jason Pierre-Paul in New York. The defensive lineman signed a one-year, $1.4 million deal with the Giants that includes a $200,000 signing bonus, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Selvie, 28, spent the previous two seasons with the Cowboys, starting in 29 of 32 games for Dallas. He registered 60 tackles, including 10 sacks over that span.

    Defensive end George Selvie is meeting with the Giants on Thursday, according to the New York Daily News.Selvie spent the last two seasons with the Cowboys where he played in all 32 regular season games. He registered seven sacks in 2013 and had three sacks, 30 tackles and a forced fumble last year.

    Report: Vikings have continued interest in George Selvie

    The Vikings contacted the representative of defensive end George Selvie before the start of free agency and have maintained dialogue throughout the first week of signings, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Selvie was a part-time player for much of his first four years in the league but played all 32 games for the Cowboys over the last two years, recording 75 tackles and 10 sacks during that two-year stretch. He rated 37th out of 59 defensive ends in 4-3 schemes last year after coming in middle of the pack the previous season.
