Vikings' Mike Wallace: Held in check in Wild Card loss

Wallace caught his lone target Sunday for 10 yards in a loss to Seattle. Wallace's first year in Minnesota finished with a thud Sunday as he was held to one catch for the fourth time this season. In fairness, Sunday's game took place in brutally cold conditions, meaning that it was unlikely for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to be taking deep shots all afternoon against Seattle's secondary. However, the fact remains that Wallace caught just 40 of his 73 total targets this season with the Vikings, a catch rate of just 55 percent. Wallace hadn't been targeted under 100 times in a season since he was a rookie, when he still outproduced his 2015 campaign with 39 catches on 72 targets (all regular season) for 756 yards and six touchdowns. Barring a major change to Minnesota's offensive philosophy, Wallace will likely continue to be a misused entity in the Vikings' system.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: Just two receptions

Wallace had two receptions for 11 yards, but was targeted six times in Sunday's win over the Giants. Wallace had his most targets in seven games, but he didn't do much as Minnesota didn't need to throw the ball very often after getting a large early lead. Wallace has been a bit player in Minnesota's offense with only three games of more than three receptions, and none in the last nine games.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: Has just three receptions

Wallace had three reception for 37 yards on three targets in Sunday's win over Chicago. Despite Teddy Bridgewater throwing for four touchdowns, Wallace yet again wasn't a big part of the passing game. Wallace hasn't had more than three receptions in his last eight games.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: Scores second touchdown of the season

Wallace caught three passes for 42 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Thursday's 23-20 loss to the Cardinals. Wallace recorded five targets for the first time since Week 9 and caught three passes for the first time since Week 7. He was left wide open for his second touchdown of the season, but his lack of volume will make it tough to score a third.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: Snags two passes against Seattle

Wallace caught two passes off of three targets for 43 yards in Sunday's loss to Seattle. Sunday's performance snapped a five-game streak during which Wallace caught one or zero passes. Wallace has been on a down slope through much of this season with Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph taking the lead in a passing offense that hovers just above worst in the league. Wallace has led the Vikings in targets just once since Week 5 and should not be considered a fantasy factor.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: No receptions again

Wallace did not have a catch and wasn't officially targeted in Sunday's win at Atlanta. He did have a ball thrown his way that drew a pass interference call. Wallace continues to disappear in the Minnesota offense as he has just two receptions for 26 yards in his last five games. He hasn't been able to get in sync with Teddy Bridgewater on deep throws and the Vikings offense didn't needed to air it out Sunday with Adrian Peterson rushing for 158 yards.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: No catches in loss

Wallace did not have a catch and was targeted just two times in Sunday's loss to Green Bay. He did have one carry for six yards. Wallace has almost disappeared in the Minnesota passing game the last four games as he's been targeted a total of just 14 times and has just two receptions over that Span. Meanwhile Stefon Diggs has been targeted 28 times over that same span. Wallace and Teddy Brigewater can't seem to connect on deep balls as there was another instance Sunday where Wallace was open but Bridgewater overthrew him.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: Another rough game

Wallace caught just 1-of-2 targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 30-14 win at Oakland. It's been a rough season for Wallace, who has scored just one touchdown and doesn't have a 100-yard receiving game. Even worse, he's got a total of just three catches over the last three agmes. As was the case with QB Ryan Tannehill for two seasons in Miami, Wallace's deep speed doesn't quite mesh with the style of Vikings' signal caller Teddy Bridgewater, who doesn't take a lot of shots down the field. The veteran wideout will look to get on track at home against Green Bay in Week 11.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: Has just one reception

Wallace had just one reception for four yards despite being targeted a team-high six times in Sunday's win over St. Louis. It was the second week in a row where Wallace and Teddy Bridgewater couldn't connect despite some chances where Wallace was open. Wallace didn't have a catch in last week's win over Chicago. At least Wallace is getting the ball thrown to him, but so far the duo hasn't had much chemistry on deep balls.

Vikings' Mike Wallace: No receptions in win

Wallace didn't have a reception but was targeted four times in Sunday's win at Chicago. Teddy Bridgewater and Wallace failed to hook up on two deep passes that were likely touchdowns. While Wallace's lack of catches is disappointing, at least Wallace being open could point to future success as Minnesota's running game is opening up deep throw opportunities.
