Eagles FS Malcolm Jenkins earns kudos from coach

Eagles free safety Malcolm Jenkins, whose thievery has resulted in one interception in each of the last three games, has earned the praise of Chip Kelly. "We've said since day one, (he) can play anywhere," Kelly told Eagles Insider. "He's been unbelievable since he arrived here." Jenkins has shown off his range this season. Each of his picks have been snagged on a different part of the field. The veteran has more interceptions in four games this year than he has in any of his five previous full seasons.

Eagles DST generates a couple turnovers

The Eagles DST forced two turnovers but got no sacks in Monday's 30-27 win in Indianapolis. Philly allowed the Colts' formerly dormant rushing game to pile up 169 yards on the ground. Defensive end Fletcher Cox jarred the ball loose from running back Trent Richardson in the third quarter, linebacker DeMeco Ryans recovering. Safety Malcolm Jenkins intercepted Andrew Luck in the fourth quarter on a controversial play. Colts wideout T.Y. Hilton was clearly held on his route, leading to the pick. Ryans finished with a game-high 10 tackles and one of the Eagles' three quarterback hits. After failing to stop Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw, the Eagles DST will be hard-pressed to stop Redskins running back Alfred Morris in Week 3.

Is Malcolm Jenkins done in New Orleans?

Malcolm Jenkins is a free agent this offseason, and the safety could be on the move. ESPN thinks the Saints would bring him back to add stability to their secondary, but only at the right price. Another team could come along and overpay him and that would take the Saints' offer of potentially $3 million per year off the table. Jenkins had some career highs this year, landing 2.5 sacks and two interceptions with two forced fumbles. He also had 68 total tackles and six passes defensed, not career-highs. Jenkins turns 27 next December.

The Saints defense is mostly in good shape for Week 11 against the 49ers, as all of their injured players save for safety Kenny Vaccaro (concussion) are expected to play. Vaccaro was ruled out after being unable to practice during the week. The remainder of the team's injured defenders are expected to play through their injuries Sunday, including: defensive linemen Tyrunn Walker (knee), Cameron Jordan (ankle) and Akiem Hicks (back); and defensive backs Roman Harper (knee) and Malcolm Jenkins (knee).
