    Giants' Jonathan Casillas: Active Sunday

Casillas (neck) is active for Sunday's contest versus the Cowboys, the Giants' official site reports. While he's available to the Giants' linebacking corps, Casillas will likely yield most of the reps on the strong side to Devon Kennard (hamstring). Either way, Casillas holds little sway in IDP leagues with 23 tackles (13 solo) and one sack on his ledger to date.

Giants' Jonathan Casillas: Questionable for Sunday

Casillas (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. With Uani Unga (neck) also listed as questionable, the Giants may have reduced depth at linebacker. It isn't a major concern, especially with starter Devon Kennard (hamstring) expected to return from a two-game absence.

Giants make RB Shane Vereen signing official, ink four others

The Giants announced they've signed running back Shane Vereen late Wednesday night. The New York Daily News previously reported that Vereen is being signed to a three-year, $12.35 million deal. Vereen rushed for 391 yards and two touchdowns in 2014. He added 447 receiving yards and three touchdowns in the passing game as well. "(I made this) decision with my family," Vereen said, via the team's official website. "At the end of the day, I wanted to make a decision that was right for us, right for them, and this is a great organization. I was fortunate enough to play in New England with another great organization. This is not a step down; if anything, it is a step up. I am looking forward to the opportunity, and I am enjoying being in New York." The Giants also announced the official signings of offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse, wide receiver/return specialist Dwayne Harris and linebackers Jonathan Casillas and J.T. Thomas III.
