    Bengals DE Michael Johnson suffers apparent knee injury Sunday

    Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson had to be carted off the practice field Sunday after sustaining an apparent knee injury, reports NFL.com. After the practice, coach Marvin Lewis said Johnson will be OK, but he still needs to be evaluated, according to ESPN. Johnson produced four sacks and 27 tackles in 14 games last season. He signed a four year, $14 million deal during the offseason.

    Michael Johnson to return to Bengals

    Free agent defensive end Michael Johnson has agreed to return to the Bengals. CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reports that Johnson has agreed to a four-year deal that will pay him $14 million next season. Johnson spent the first five years of his career with the Bengals before leaving for the Bucs, last season. He had four sacks and two forced fumbles last year. Johnson also considered the Vikings. "(Cincinnati) is my home. I feel like outside of Selma, this is my home," he told Chris Tomasson of the St Paul Pioneer Press. "Our entire organization is just ecstatic about getting Mike back," said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, according to ESPN's Coley Harvey.

    Reports: Michael Johnson to choose between Bengals, Vikings

    Defensive end Michael Johnson will visit the Bengals before making his final decision, according to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports. Johnson, who was released by the Buccaneers on Wednesday, had a "very good" visit the Vikings earlier this week, per the Star Tribune.     Buccaneers terminate contract of DE Michael Johnson

    The Buccaneers terminated the contract of defensive end Michael Johnson by 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, per the team's official website. Johnson was considered one of the top free agents of last year's class. With the move, Tampa Bay will remain on the hook for $7 million of his guaranteed money, but will avoid an additional $7 million from becoming guaranteed.
