Pickard stopped 24 of 27 shots Tuesday against Chicago, winning 4-3 in overtime.

The numbers weren't fantastic for Pickard, but the Avalanche managed to keep the puck in the offensive zone for much of the game, finishing with 51 shots against Scott Darling. Pickard allowed all three goals in the second period, but he stood tall for the rest of the game, allowing the Avs to complete a come-from-behind win. It's worth mentioning, though, that the Blackhawks decided to give Duncan Keith the night off, so even optimists may want to take this win with a grain of salt. With three games remaining, including a back-to-back over the weekend, Pickard will likely get two more starts before the season is over.
