After notching power-play assists in the season's first two games, Grigorenko couldn't extend the streak in a 3-0 shutout loss to Washington on Tuesday.

He also saw more action at center, taking faceoffs for the first time this season. Grigorenko is still seeing fairly limited minutes, but he's enjoying steady power-play time on the second unit. We're still waiting for 2012's No. 12 pick to live up to his pedigree, as last year's 27 points represent his high-water mark to this point. The talent is there and he's seeing a decent amount of offensive opportunities, so he should at least be able to build on last season's production, but a full-on breakout may be too much to ask.
