Blackhawks' Marian Hossa: Milestone night marred by injury

Hossa (undisclosed) potted his 500th career goal Tuesday night against the Flyers.

Hossa, who's 37 years old, became the 44th player in NHL history to reach the gaudy milestone of 500 career goals. In the second period, working with the man advantage, the veteran accepted a nice feed from defenseman Brian Campbell and muscled his way past a defender to ignite the home crowd with the milestone tally. Unfortunately, he sustained an apparent injury upon blocking a blocked shot and will undergo further evaluation in the coming days. The Blackhawks do not play again until an Oct. 21 matchup with Columbus.
