Blackhawks' Scott Darling: Closing in on return

Darling (hand) is close to returning and will accompany the team on its upcoming road trip, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.

Further bolstering the case for Darling's imminent return is the fact that Jeff Glass was sent back to the minors Sunday, leaving Corey Crawford and Darling as the only two goalies on the roster. It's doubtful that the Virginia native will draw the start for Tuesday's game in Montreal, but if he is healthy enough to be the backup for that game, he'll return almost two weeks ahead of schedule.
