Perron scored a third-period goal in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Stars, extending his point streak to eight games.

Like many of his team's top-six forwards, Perron had been silent during the Blues' 12-game scoring malaise, but he's been front and center in their resurgence. Over the last eight games, St. Louis has averaged 3.6 goals, and Perron has recorded 11 points (three goals, eight assists) during that run. Most of his production has come while skating on a line with Jaden Schwartz and Paul Stastny, a spot that had been home to Alexander Steen before he missed six games due to an upper-body injury. As Steen nears a return -- he's practicing but not yet a full participant -- it bears watching whether coach Ken Hitchcock returns Perron to the third line, which has produced little offense through the first 23 games.
