Paajarvi was activated in place of Dmitrij Jaskin for Monday night's game against the Flames, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. He had an assist, three shots on net, and a hit in 11:09 of ice time while skating on a line with Patrik Berglund and David Backes.

"We need that line to be a better line," Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock said. "We're going to try to use 'Bergie' as much as we can at center. Backes has done a great job playing right wing. But we need the line to be a better line. They need to have bigger impact in the game." Whether it's Jaskin or Paajarvi, it doesn't really matter -- the two have combined for 19 points. What will make the line better is the return of Alex Steen from an upper-body injury. Steen has been skating recently and is with the team on its current road trip.
