Blues Place Mueller On Unconditional Waivers

The Blues placed Mueller on unconditional waivers Tuesday, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.Mueller's decision to sign a two-way contract during the offseason seemed to indicate he would accept an assignment to the minors -- which is what the Blues did Sunday -- but it turns out that was not the case, as he will be released by the Blues if he is not claimed by another team.
