Pastrnak will join the Czech national team for the 2017 IIHF World Championship, Joe Haggerty of CSN New England reports.

The 2014 first-round pick received the call following the Bruins' elimination from the postseason at the hands of the Senators. Pastrnak disappointed in the World Cup of Hockey last fall, but enjoyed an offensive breakout during the season, recording career highs in goals (34), assists (36), points (70) and games played (75). Along with Brad Marchand, Pastrnak spearheaded Boston's offense in 2016-17, and he'll be expected to continue doing so for many years to come.
