Bruins' Malcolm Subban: Heads to AHL on Saturday

Subban was assigned to AHL Providence on Saturday, ahead of a road game in Detroit.

There's been whispers that starting goalie Tuukka Rask (undisclosed) will be ready to return for the next contest, which helps explain why Subban was sent down to the Baby Bruins. The younger brother of Predators star defenseman P.K. Subban has only appeared in one game this season -- Oct. 25 against the Wild -- and he was pulled from that start after allowing three goals on 16 shots in 30:36 between the pipes. At least for now, Zane McIntyre will stay up with the big club.
