Canes' Brent Is Headed To Play In Russia

Brent decided to play his next season for the KHL's Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod on Tuesday, the Charlotte Observer reports.Brent, who has spent parts of seven seasons in the NHL, recorded no goals and three assists in 30 games this past season for Carolina, so his departure represents more of a hit to the Hurricanes' depth up front thatn it does to fantasy owners.
