Biega was sent to AHL Utica for conditioning Saturday.
It's not clear how long the conditioning assignment will last, but the hope is that he'll benefit from the deliberate attempt to get him back into playing shape. After all, the defenseman has only drawn into one game this season, logging a mere 8:37 of ice time in an Oct. 23 game against the Ducks.
