Capitals' Braden Holtby: Allows three third period goals in loss

Holtby saved 25 of 28 shots during Thursday's 3-0 loss to the Islanders.

Holtby held a shutout through two periods, but the Islanders brought the heat in the third, ultimately handing the netminder his second straight loss. In 16 appearances this season, the 27-year-old has only lost back-to-back games once. There's little reason to believe last year's Vezina Trophy winner won't bounce back in full force, as he's allowed three-plus goals in only seven contests to date and remains an elite option.
