Brown has been sent to AHL Hershey for a conditioning stint, Capitals PR reports.
Brown dealt with a hand injury this past month and now he heads back to the minors to get back into game shape. The 24-year-old Texan plays a physical game -- he had 70 PIMs in 64 games for Hershey last season -- though he has yet to play for the Caps or their minor-league affiliate this season.
