Grubauer allowed one goal on six shots in relief of Braden Holtby during a 2-0 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.
The Capitals elected to start Holtby for the season finale in order to keep him fresh for the playoffs, but Grubauer played the final period. Unfortunately, he couldn't repeat his shutout performance from Saturday and yielded a goal. Still, Grubauer has been solid as a backup this season, posting career highs across the board with 13 victories, a .926 save percentage and 2.05 GAA in 23 appearances.
