Caps Sign AHL Vet Carey

Carey signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Capitals on Wednesday.The 26-year-old Carey has appeared in 22 NHL games over his career with the Avalanche, but he's expected to primarily function as a depth option for the Capitals' AHL affiliate in Hershey. Carey skated in 60 minor-league games in the Colorado and Boston organizations in 2014-15, accruing 15 goals and 19 assists.
