Smith has cleared waivers and is headed to AHL Providence, CSN's Joe Haggerty reports.After losing out to Jonas Gustavsson for the Bruins' top backup goalie job behind Tuukka Rask, Smith will remain with the organization at Providence, where he'll look to build off his strong 2014-15 AHL campaign.
