Tinordi was acquired from the Canadiens in exchange for Victor Bartley and John Scott, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.

Tinordi is a former first-round pick of the Habs, but has played just three games in the NHL this season. The big defenseman wasn't drafted for his offensive abilities (he has six assists in 46 career games), but he's failed to establish himself as a solid defender to this point. The Coyotes have much less depth at defense than the Canadiens, so Tinordi should be afforded more opportunities to succeed in Arizona.
