Domingue saw his first action of the year Tuesday, giving up three goals on 11 shots in a 7-4 loss to Ottawa. He entered the game after Mike Smith suffered a lower-body injury.

Smith's injury didn't look good, as he was unable to put any weight on one leg while being helped off the ice, so Domingue may be in line for his second extended run as the Coyotes' starting netminder. Domingue showed both promise and inconsistency while playing in place of an injured Smith last season, and while he got off to a weak start here, he still merits a pickup for goalie-needy fantasy owners in case Arizona's veteran starter is indeed out for a lengthy spell.
