Coyotes' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Exits Tuesday's game with upper-body ailment

Ekman-Larsson sustained an upper-body injury during Tuesday's contest with the Sharks and will not return, Craig Morgan of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

The nature and severity of the ailment are unclear, but given that he won't return to Tuesday's game, his status for the Coyotes' next matchup Thursday is up in the air. The 25-year-old blueliner recorded a plus-1 rating over 15:51 of ice time prior to his departure. As one of the top offensive defensemen in the league, he's irreplaceable for the Coyotes and fantasy owners, so all invested parties surely have their fingers crossed for a positive medical report.
