Bennett is day-to-day after sustaining a laceration to his leg in practice Monday, Andrew Gross of The Record reports, adding that the winger did not accompany the team to Winnipeg for Tuesday's contest.

When healthy, Bennett hasn't been too big a factor in his debut season with the Devils. The former Penguin has one goal and six assists to his name through 20 games, plus he's struggling to a minus-3 rating and a career-low 2.8 shooting percentage. It remains to be seen who will replace him in the top six and on the second man-advantage unit.
