Hanowski has signed a one-year contract with Augsburger Panther of the German Ice Hockey League. The Flames elected not to extend Hanowski a qualifying offer earlier this summer after he tallied 16 goals and 25 points in 56 games for AHL Adirondack this past season. The 24-year-old, who was previously acquired by the Flames as part of the March 2013 that sent Jarome Iginla to Pittsburgh, could return to North America next year if he has a strong showing in Europe.
