FA Ashton Signs With KHL Team

Ashton has signed with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the KHL, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.A former first-round draft pick, the 24-year-old Ashton logged just seven NHL appearances last season, after managing three points in 32 games in 2013-14. He has yet to score a goal through 52 career NHL games.
